Karen Kit Ying Li's Obituary
Karen Kit Ying Li, aged 32, of Vancouver, Canada died at CPMC Pacific Campus, San Francisco, on December 31, 2016 after a courageous battle against cancer.She was born on Dec 24, 1984 in San Mateo, to Sunny King Sun Li and Cherri Chui Yee Ho. She attended secondary school in Hong Kong, Branksome Hall Boarding School in Toronto, University of Waterloo for Bachelor of Arts, Upper Iowa University for Bachelor of Science, Macquarie University for Master of Arts, and Argosy University to become a Doctor in Clinical Psychologist working with children.Karen was an adventurous, curious woman who loved exploring the world and experiencing different cultures. She enjoyed the ScholarShip program and travelled round the world. She was the first member of the Li family to go to boarding school, bungee jump, skydive or even learn sign language. She was kind and caring to everyone she knew, and aspired to help children with special needs. She was never afraid to break boundaries or challenge herself. Karen was a brave fighter who mustered an unfathomable degree of courage and determination all the way to the end of her journey.Karen is survived by parents Sunny and Cherri, sister Kerry, brother Kevin and many relatives who loved her dearly around the world.A memorial service will be held on January 7, 2016 at 10:30am at Skylawn Memorial Park.
