Kam Moi Lau's Obituary
Kam Moi Lau, aged 93, died on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Ruttonjee Hospital in Hong Kong. She was born on December 1, 1924, in Sai Kai Village, Zhong Shan, South of China. Kam Moi married Peng Sum Lau after they met in the noisy streets of China while they were both selling street merchandise. After the war in 1945, they fled to Hong Kong to seek freedom and peace. They demonstrated their courage and strength to survive through poverty. They overcame their hardships and later became business owners. Kam Moi worked diligently throughout her life to take care of her eight children. She was also the eldest daughter in her family and wholeheartedly took care of her siblings and their families. She was a wonderful chef and took special joy in cooking traditional Chinese cuisine for her family and grandchildren.Kam Moi will sadly be missed by Larry, son; Fenella, Lucinda, Farida, Sarah, Flora and Bonnie, daughters; Annie and Maureen, daughters-in-law; Roger, son-in-law; Jason, Winston, Dominic, Richard, Jonathan, Hilary, Gabrielle, Kelly, Charmaine, Timothy, Curtis, and Kimberly, grandchildren; Joanne, Kyra and Allie, grand daughters-in-law; Wesley and Allison, great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister and relatives and friends. Her loving husband, Peng Sum; loving son, Alan; and sons-in-law Leland, Johnson and Sam predeceased her.Memorable donations may be made to Michael J.
