Kai Fa Shih's Obituary
Kai Fa Shih, of San Jose, California, passed away April 4th, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born to Yu Chang Shih and Chiu Ying Wang in China on May 3, 1936. Kai Fa Shih met the love of his life, Chia Fun Shih, in Taiwan. He married her in 1958. The young couple came to the United States in 1973. They lived in New York and then moved to the west coast in 1991. Kai Fa Shih opened his own restaurants, one of which was a Taiwanese steak house in Milpitas, California.Kai Fa Shih enjoyed reading fiction novels about Chinese culture and Kung Fu. He also enjoyed watching television. He lived his live as a devout Buddhist.Some words that best describe Kai Fa Shih are: honest, a great friend and a great family man.Kai Fa Shih is survived by his children. His sons Tony Shih, of San Jose, Jerry Shih, of San Jose, and Andy Shih. His Daughters, Wen Eng Shih, of Taiwan, and Wen Ling Shih, of Taiwan.Placement will be Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 11:00am at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
