Juliana Ramil's Obituary
Juliana was born to the late Gregorio and Saturnina Cadelinia on June 19, 1930 in Teppang, Baccara, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was the second of three children, Evangelista Velasco and Roberto Cadelinia. Her marriage to the late Monico Ramil created this family tree: Children Grandchildren Great Grandchildren Marilyn Juan Jason, Jonathan and Monique Mercy Sherry Tran; Shirley and Sharon Gorospe Sarah, Sophia and Ryan Tran; Alyssa and Aaliyah Nguyen Gaudencio Grant and Gabriella Magdalena Veronica Ritona and Joseph Corzo Justin Ritona Monico Jr. Alexa and Nathaniel Julian Miller Bayani Diego In 1968, Juliana left her six children behind and came to the United States to join her husband who had migrated two years earlier. The couple took this big step as it would assure their family a better future. Together, they prepared for the arrival of their six children and the birth of their last child, Miller, in 1969. Determined to succeed in what she and Monico envisioned for their family, she worked as a maid for 29 years. After her retirement in 1998, Juliana was able to focus on spending quality time with her family, most especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren by babysitting, telling them stories about her life, teaching them how to cook Filipino foods, and visiting other countries. In December 2009, Juliana was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. In spite of poor prognosis, Juliana had a strong will to live and put up a strong fight. She went through numerous cycles of chemotherapy, which ultimately weakened her immune system. On May 12, 2012 GOD called her HOME and she was reunited with her soulmate who she missed dearly for 11 years. Juliana leaves behind her three treasured daughters, four cherished sons, thirteen precious grandchildren, and six beloved great grandchildren.
