Juanita Cavan Verano's Obituary
Juanita Cavan Verano passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 in Burlingame, California.
She graced this world for 88 years alongside her husband (Armando Lopez Verano) and 4 children (Anna Maria Verano-Vo, Jose Mari Verano, Leah Maria Abbott, and Diana Maria Abarintos). Her family continued to grow as well with 8 grandchildren (Michael Abbott, Ashley Abbott, An Vo, Kim Vo, Binh Vo, Dean Abarintos, Desiree Abarintos, and Daniel Abarintos), who brought immense love and joy to her life.
Juanita began her life in Cebu, Philippines and was one of 9 children. For the entirety of her life, she was a warm and bright soul whose purpose was rooted in community. She was a devoted, highly respected professor and practiced dentistry in profession, but was often found dancing and singing with loved ones in her free time. She had an innate talent to light up any room with her smile and vibrant energy.
Her legacy is the connections she’s made and the hearts she's touched. She made every person feel special, noticed, and loved. It was a true honor to know her sweet and generous nature.
As we say goodbye to Juanita, let us remember to keep smiling even in our moments of grief – just as she would. She has proudly gone home to be with the Lord and is now watching over us. Rest in eternal peace, Juanita. You will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.
