I met Juan in the late 1980's when I became the Carrier rep for Carol J. Flynn. I handled the Flynn account until I retired in 2017. Juan was the salesman there, and soon after became the owner of the company. From the very beginning we became close friends rather than simply business associates. For Juan was rare, his sincere personality and wonderful laugh invited a much deeper relationship between us. He and I even shared that close friendship for 8 years after I retired. News of his passing away hit me as if it was my brother who died.
I met Catalina and his family many years ago and he always made it known how she was the love of his life, along with his children and grandchildren. With the time required to run a successful business, he always made time to devote for his family first. I admired how he lived his life and I will miss him very much. When he called me to stay in touch he always began by saying "my friend". Well, God bless you my friend! I will miss you dearly Juan.
