Juan Mendoza's Obituary
Juan Mendoza, age 71, of Tamazula de Gordiano, Mexico and resident of Redwood City, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, in the presence and care of his wife, Hermelinda Mendoza and family, as his battle with kidney disease and ultimately cancer finally came to an end.
Juan Mendoza was born on September 25, 1951 in Buenos Aires, Municipio de Quitupan, Mexico and lived in many cities and towns within the United States, including Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and eventually settled in Redwood City, California about 36 years ago. Juan was married to Hermelinda Mendoza, on December 5th, 1979 and had two children, Lorena and Rocio.
Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Hermelinda and their daughter Lorena Barragan and her husband Juan Carlos Barragan and their children Juan Carlos and Alejandro, daughter Rocio Tapia and her husband Javier Tapia and their children Javier and Leah; his daughter, Clementina Chacon-Garcia and her wife Angelina, from his first marriage; siblings Catalina, Clementina, Abraham, Bernardino (Nino), Maria, Francisco (Quico), Jose, Carmen, Jesus (Chuy) and Luis. He was preceded by death by his parents, father, Francisco Mendoza Jimenez, mother, Esther Rodriguez Vargas, sibling, Samuel and in-laws, Isidro Magana and Maria Luisa Mendoza.
Juan was kind, wise and a humble man. He received many accolades for his work in construction throughout the Bay Area and beyond! He had a passion for his work and often showed how proud he was of the work and legacy he has left behind in so many family homes, including his daughters.
The memorial service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park and Cemetery on Monday, December 19, 2022 beginning at 11am. The mass will commence at 1pm followed by the graveside ceremony at 2pm.
Juan Mendoza, de 71 años, de Tamazula de Gordiano, México y residente de Redwood City, falleció el lunes 5 de diciembre de 2022, en presencia y cuidado de su esposa, Hermelinda Mendoza y su familia, con su batalla contra la enfermedad renal y, en última instancia, el cáncer, finalmente llegó a su fin.
Juan Mendoza nació el 25 de septiembre de 1951 en Buenos Aires, Municipio de Quitupan, México y vivió en muchas ciudades y pueblos dentro de los Estados Unidos, incluyendo Montana, Colorado, Wyoming y finalmente se radicó en Redwood City, California hace 36 años. Le precedieron en muerte sus padres, Francisco Mendoza Jiménez, madre, Esther Rodríguez Vargas, hermano, Samuel y suegros, Isidro Magana y María Luisa Mendoza.
Juan era amable, sabio y un hombre humilde. ¡Recibió muchos elogios por su trabajo en la construcción en toda el área de la Bahía y más allá! Tenía pasión por su trabajo y, a menudo, mostraba lo orgulloso que estaba del trabajo y el legado que había dejado en tantos hogares familiares, incluidas sus hijas.
El servicio conmemorativo se llevará a cabo en Skylawn Memorial Park and Cemetery el Lunes 19 de diciembre de 2022 a partir de las 11 a. m. La misa comenzará a la 1pm y el sepelio a las 2pm.
