Joyce E. Davila's Obituary
Joyce Eries Davila was born on June 25, 1923 in Tela, Honduras to Mr. Vincent Burton and Mrs. Matilde Eries. Throughout her childhood, Joyce attended a private English school in Honduras.In 1943, Joyce married Mr. Marco Julio Espinoza in Honduras, together they had one son, Marco Espinoza. In 1949, Joyce married Mr. Luis Davila in Tela, Honduras and later had two sons together, Luis M. Davila and Patrick A. Davila.After her family, two of the most important events in Joyce’s life were immigrating from Honduras to the United States and becoming a Jehovah’s Witness. Ever faithful, Joyce believed in Christ’s promise of a resurrection.In her spare time, Mrs. Davila enjoyed attending church functions, shopping, baking, listening to Julio Iglesias music and was known for giving especially great advice. Joyce will always be remembered as a determined, generous, loyal, social and faithful woman and will be missed dearly by all.Mrs. Joyce Davila passed away on April 10, 2014 in Roseville, California and leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three sons; Marco (Alejandrina) Espinoza, Luis M. Davila and Patrick A. Davila, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Services will be held in her honor at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Mateo, California.
