Joyce Czellecz's Obituary
Joyce Czellecz passed away May 18, 2011 peacefully of natural causes in San Mateo, California. She was born one of 2 children, in Pittsburg, California on December 3, 1925 to Benjamin and Bernice (Ainslie) Killeen.Joyce was a Social Worker for San Mateo County for 20 years. Joyce attended Mills College and also California State Berkeley where she earned her Masters Degree in Sociology. Joyce met her love, Carl in 1955 at a dance hall in Oakland and soon after married him in Lake Tahoe. The two settled in San Mateo, California where they raised their 4 boys. Joyce loved her time working for the Social Services Department especially when she was assigned to the Adoptions Department. Joyce and Carl enjoyed taking vacations together on road trips and Ocean Cruises. Joyce leaves her 4 Sons, Glen, Wayne, Paul and Mark, her 5 grandchildren Monica, Melissa, Jessica, Nicholas and Brandon, her 2 Step Grandchildren, Ashley and Nicole and her Sister, Joann. Joyce will be remembered for her Love of family, compassion towards others, donating her time on Elections and donating to various charities. As a Mother she never missed any of her son's school or sporting events. She enjoyed family gatherings and was always there when needed. She was truly a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She will be missed by all.
