Joshua Liu's Obituary
Joshua Milton Liu, age 5, went to live with Jesus on September 21, 2019, after battling retinoblastoma for almost three years. He was an affectionate, empathetic, generous-hearted, conscientious little boy who faced life’s challenges with a joyful resilience. Joshua loved books of all kinds, Legos, playing with his sister, and engaging in conversation with others. He will be deeply missed by his parents Milton and Natalie of Burlingame, older sister Johanna, as well as many other family members and friends.A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11 at 1pm at Central Peninsula Church, 1005 Shell Blvd., Foster City, CA. A private burial will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo prior to the service. If you are thinking of sending flowers or a gift, please consider instead giving to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities, organizations that have cared for our family so generously. Or, if you are planning on attending the memorial service, consider bringing a new unwrapped toy that will be donated to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Joshua especially loved Play-Doh and Lego sets for those long days at the hospital – more suggestions here.
