Joseph Michael Bruno's Obituary
Joseph M. Bruno passed away at the age 84 on Sat April 1st, at Mission Hospice House in Redwood City. Born In San Francisco to Katherine Bruno and Joseph L. Bruno. Raised in the Portero along with the Landucci cousins. Moved to San Mateo as a teenager and graduated San Mateo high school. While in high school he joined the Army reserves, after graduation he served 18 months in Germany. Survived by his beloved wife of 61years.. Alberta. He leaves behind his devoted daughter Donna Genardini and son in law Michael. Proud “Papa” to Makayla and Matthew Genardini. Predeased by son Michael J. Bruno and sister Betty Marie Capelli. His greatest joy was his grandchildren. either watching soccer or softball (his favorite), he rarely missed a game! His favorite pastime was fishing. He enjoyed salmon fishing in the ocean, but is highlights were always going to Alaska and Mexico. Joe wasn’t a big traveler but loved his trips to the Cayman Islands….especially his last one when the whole family went. He retired after 40 years as a Commercial Painter. In lieu of flowers a donation to Mission Hospice is appreciated. Donations can be specified to go directly to the Hospice House. Funeral service will be held on Sat April 15th @ 11:00 am Skylawn Memorial in San Mateo
