Jose Lino Menjivar's Obituary
Nuestro papi- Our father
Jose Lino Menjivar Chacon of 69 years of age, took his last breath 11/12/21 at 915 am in San Mateo, CA. He was born in Valle Nuevo, San Juan Opico, El Salvador. Our Father is now resting and at peace with God.
Our Father was a very special man, he was the hardest working person we knew. He was a loving husband in his own way and a father who made many sacrifices so that we could get ahead as a family. He had no regrets when at the peak of his career as a pilot, he decided to leave El Salvador to give his children a better future. He endured with grace and pride the many challenges of being an immigrant.
He was very determined to get ahead and worked in a flower nursery during the night and went to school during the day. He became a business owner and always working in other projects. He was resilient and never stopped dreaming as he built a business from the ground up and managed other venture projects on the side.
He was a proud father who supported us through our education and careers. He was at all our graduations and always celebrated our professional accomplishments. He was over the moon happy to have finally become a grandfather and was always happy to spend time with his four grandchildren. He was also a great friend and had the honor of traveling the world with many of them. He always believed in giving back and helping those who were trying to get ahead like him.
He was married for 46 years to our mother. Both him and my mother were a great team and were inseparable until his last breath.
Papi, thank you for everything you did for us. You taught us the meaning of hard work. Without your love and support, we would not be the successes we are today. We will never forget the sacrifices you made for us. We will forever celebrate your life and carry on your legacy.
