John Schlick Jr.'s Obituary
Skip passed away at home after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Feb. 9, 1939 in Las Vegas, NV to John and Gertrude Schlick. He is survived by his sons Craig and Robb(Cathy), four grandchildren Garrett, Brandon, Greyson and Stephanie, and his siblings Ed, Bob, Judy and Harry Paul. He also leaves his dear friend Jackie and his faithful companion, his dog Bandit. He proudly served in the U.S Army from 1962-1968. From there he became a Purchasing Manager in the Telecommunications industry for 21 years. Due to his passion for gardening and love of the outdoors, he started his own landscaping business. He was an avid fisherman and loved to play tennis as well as golf. From bird watching to gardening and fishing, he loved anything to do with nature. Graveside Service will be held Monday April 2, 2012 at 12:45PM at Skylawn Memorial Park Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd. , San Mateo, Ca.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society (408)-252-3747 http://www.scvas.org .
