John Joseph Randuch's Obituary
John Randuch, 96, of San Carlos, CA, joined our Heavenly Father on March 31, 2015. He died peacefully at home after being recently diagnosed with Myeloma vs. Leukemia. He was born in San Francisco, CA on August 3, 1918 and was the beloved son of John Randuch, Sr. and Vincentia Randuch. He graduated from Polytechnic High School and began his illustrious career as a sheet metal worker at Atlas Heating in San Francisco. He was the Plant Manager of Tuck-Aire Mfg. in San Francisco and then served as Plant Manager for Dura-Vent, Corp. in Redwood City where he retired as their Vice President and General Manager. He developed a passion for “midget” race cars in the 1940s and began building his first car in the basement of the family home on Page St. He was a proud charter member of the Bay Cities Racing Association and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2010. Throughout his life he built 16 vintage midget race cars. He also enjoyed being a “ham” radio operator and communicated with other “hams” around the world. John leaves an expansive family legacy, an incredible work ethic, calm and no-fuss demeanor, and a sensitive and attentive example as a husband and father. He is survived by his children Patricia Booth-Durgin, Shirley Frediani, Judith Gromm and John Randuch. His grandchildren, Erin Booth, Darcy Andersohn, Rick Booth, Tim Booth, Michael Booth, Rob Frediani, Matthew Frediani, Jamieson Vinson, Sharron Plourde, Jennifer Randuch, Greg Randuch and Brian Randuch, and his great grandchildren Sean Andersohn, Arthur Harvey, Brianna Harvey, Anthony Frediani, Luca Frediani, Jakob Brender a’ Brandis, Alexis Brender a’ Brandis, Rylee Vinson, Justin Plourde, Colson Plourde, Mila Randuch and Logan Randuch. He is also survived by his nephews George Grasse, Robert Grasse, James Grasse, great nephew Scott Grasse and his step-children Linda Sullivan, Susan Rathjen, and David Lazzareschi and their families. John survived his parents John and Vincentia Randuch, his sisters Mary Randuch and Sophie Grasse and his first wife Louella Patricia Randuch and second wife Rosalie Randuch.
