John Chu's Obituary
John Chu of 75 years of age passed away in Los Altos Hills on April 2, 2017 after a battle with cancer.He was born into Robert and Alice Chu on August 15, 1941 in Shanghai, China. He was one of four children. His siblings; Peggy, Joyce and William.John attended school in Shanghai, China until graduating from high school. He proceed his education at UC Berkeley with a Bachelors in Science and then obtaining his Masters in engineering.He worked in Fairchild Semiconductor AMD and various other smaller companies until he retired in 2008.John enjoyed working with computers, taking photos, listening to music, playing the piano, watching movies and going on cruises.He is survived by his wife, Christine Chu of 40 years; Daughter, Jennifer; In-laws; Nelson and Esther; grandchildren; Blane and Audrey. Nieces; Pauline, Irene and Catherine. Nephew; Stephen. Cousins; Raymond, Patrick, Ronald, Freddi, Eddie, Lucy, Nancy, Yvonne, Angela and Alan. Some of his friends; Dough Sullivan, Chen Lingfen, Sam Lee and Su Wai-Ai.He is proceeded in death by his parents;and son, Michael in 2002.He will be missed by many and forever remain in our hearts.
