John Peter Allen's Obituary
John P. Allen, aged 51, of San Jose died at Alameda Hospital in Alameda, CA on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 7:30 a.m. He had been in a persistent-vegitated state since his heart-attack on September 19, 2004, and died peacefully in his sleep.He was born on June 24, 1961, in Oakland, CA to Jack and Irehne Allen. During the latter part of the 1970’s the Allen family re-located to Oahu, Hawaii where Jack Allen worked as a superintendent for Safeway. John graduated from Mililani High in 1979. Then the Allen family moved back to California. John worked with Safeway, Corp for 25 years holding different positions including Produce Manager in Pak ‘n Save in South San Francisco and finally as Category Manager at the Safeway Corp offices in Plesanton.John loved his muscle cars'especially his GS455 1970 blue and white convertible Buick; he was a Raiders and A’s fan and he loved going to Shark’s games. One thing everyone can agree on he loved a good steak and wine with his meal.On September 24, 1996, he married Elizabeth (Dominguez) in Oahu, Hawaii by Diamond Head in memory of both his parents. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved to travel with his family and loved his Rock music.John is survived by his wife Elizabeth and children Irehne (age 14), Dana (age 22) and Jason (age 25).John will truly be missed……Always and Forever.A Viewing and Service will be held on Thursday, February 7th and Burial will take place on Friday, February 8th both at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.Donating Funds to Elizabeth and Irehne Allen would be greatly appreciated: 840 Shearton Drive, San Jose, CA 95117Psalms 30:4 & 5….for you are my refuge.
