JoEllen Jorgensen Maguire March 19, 1942 – July 3, 2014Loving wife of 51 years to Charles Maguire passed away on July 3, 2014 in Belmont, CA after a long illness. A 3rd generation San Franciscan, JoEllen is survived by her husband Charles and 3 sons; Kevin (Melisa), Mark (Jennifer) and Paul (Tammi), 8 grandchildren; Patrick, Nick, Makenzie, Brent, Trevor, Delaney, Keagan, and Cody; her sister Julie Bielawski of Franklin, TN, brother-in-law David Bielawski, niece Kristen Bielawski; and dear friend Fr. Tom Timmins.JoEllen graduated from Mercy High School Burlingame in 1960, and College of San Mateo in 1962. She loved her St. Luke Church community and enjoyed her special ministry to the sick and elderly, and with Charles was long active in working with the newly engaged, and Marriage Encounter throughout the Archdiocese of San Francisco. JoEllen so loved life, family and friends. We will miss her engaging smile and lively spirit that delighted everyone who knew her.A celebration of her life with us will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday August 7, 2014 in the Mercy Center chapel, Burlingame, CA.If desired, gifts of remembrance may be made to the UCSF Memory and Aging Center in San Francisco, or the charity of your choice.
