Joe N. Wagner's Obituary
Joe Nathan Wagner was born on August 20, 1943 in Loachapoka, Alabama to the late Robert and Stella Wagner. He was the eighth child.He attended elementary school in Notasulga, Alabama, Jr. High in Tuskegee, Alabama and graduated from Drake High in Auburn, Alabama.At an early age he joined Macedonia B. Church. He sang a quartet and was ordain as a deacon. He came to San Francisco, California in 1962. He married Savannah Pork on June 5, 1964. They had 1 child. He joined the Metropolitan Baptist Church and served as a deacon and sang in the youth choir.He worked for the San Francisco School System. Afterward, he drove a muni for 30 plus years until he retired. He entered full rest at his home Wednesday, June 1, 2016.His memories will live on through the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him. He leaves to mourn his death his only son, Stanley Wagner and wife Valeria. One grand-daughter, Summer Wagner; 2 sisters (Vivian Lewis, Clarence) of San Francisco, California; Annie Holden (James) of Flint, Michigan; 3 brothers, Herbert Wagner of Flint, Michigan; Harvey Wagner (Victoria) of Flint, Michigan; George Wagner (Barbara) of Daly City.A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.Joe’s wife, Savannah precede in death and 1 brother, Robert L. Wagner Jr. and 2 sister’s Mary Lois Cooks and Meacy Ingram.We the family members of the late Joe N.
