Jobst E Jesse's Obituary
Jobst Jesse was united in matrimony with his wife Christl at their wedding in Menlo Park in 1962. A year later, their daughter Monika was born. The following year, their daughter Andrea arrived. The family moved to San Carlos in 1972. Beloved wife and mother Christl passed away in 1982 from cancer. On August 7, 2025, Jobst passed away at age 86 from Parkinson's Disease complications. He will be united again with Christl at Skylawn Memorial Park in September. Jobst is survived by his daughter Monika Pedigo, her husband Matthew, their son William, their daughter Kathryn, Kathryn's partner Colin and, the newest addition, Kathryn and Colin's son Jenson. He is also survived by his daughter Andrea Jesse and his second wife Cuc Nguyen. Cuc lives in an assisted living facility where she struggles with dementia. Jobst was born in Berlin, Germany at the start of WWII. He met Christl while vacationing in Austria after the war. Seeking a better life, Jobst and Christl moved to California where they started a family. He received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and later returned to UCB to get a Master's degree in the field of Computer Science which was, at the time, in its infancy. Working in Silicon Valley, his career took off just as the computer industry did. Jobst was known to everyone he knew as a kind and generous man. Throughout his life and including in his final days, he was surrounded by loved ones - including his great-grandson.
