Joanne S. Lauricella's Obituary
Joanne Lauricella, 77, passed away on May 17, 2018 in Redwood City, California. Joanne suffered from an extended illness and was joined by her friends and family immediately preceding death. She was born June 28, 1940 in Rockford, IL., to Louis and Carolyn (Hutchinson) Shultz. Joanne graduated from West High School in Rockford and attended Colorado Women’s College in Golden, CO.Joanne married Don Schultz in 1959 and together they had 3 sons. Joanne and Don divorced, and she married Lou Lauricella in 1972. Her primary occupation was homemaker and care giver, but she also held positions as a driver, school aide, and receptionist. She was the backbone of the family, successfully raising 3 boys. Joanne loved walks, reading, exercising, the sun, and was imbued with the heart of a traveler, traveling extensively with her sister Nancy following Carolyn’s death in 1997.Joanne is survived by children Donald Jr., Glen (Ruth Anne), and Thomas; grandchildren Grant and Luke Schultz, and sister Mrs. Nancy Honeywell (Larry). She is preceded in death by her husband Lou, parents Carolyn and Louis and her brother Bob Shultz.Memorial services will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo, CA June 5, 2018 at 10 AM.
