Jisong Zhang, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 20, 1937, in Zhang Village, Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, China, to Gongzhen Zhang and Zhaohua He, Jisong received a traditional private education in his early years. In 1948 at the age of 11, he entered Hangzhou High School and later attended Xi'an Telecommunication Engineering Institute, where he graduated in 1956. He remained at the institute for two years, conducting scientific research before joining a research institute in Kunming as a division director.
Through a mutual friend, Jisong met his future wife, Zhaojun Zou. They were married for 56 years, building a beautiful life together and raising two daughters.
In November 1974, Jisong transitioned to the Beijing Xicheng District Tape Recorder Factory, the predecessor of the Beijing Technical Research Institute, as a senior engineer. During his career, he was invited by the president of Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. in Japan for a 20-day professional exchange, expanding his technical expertise and worldly views. In 1988, he was seconded by the Henan Provincial Water Conservancy Company to work in Nepal for two years, contributing to international cooperation. After he honorably retired in 1997, he was invited to be a procurement manager China Central Television Division Yutan Broadcasting Station.
Starting in 2007, Jisong frequently traveled between China and the United States, enjoying a fulfilling and joyful life with his loved ones. Jisong enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, gardening, Chinese painting, and staying informed about current events.
Jisong is survived by his devoted wife, Zhaojun; his two daughters, Yue (Michelle) and Liang (Judy); his sons-in-law, Rong (Richard) and Zhanhong (Rick); and his three cherished grandchildren, David, Jonathan, and Michelle. His legacy of love, wisdom, and humility will forever live on in their hearts.
A funeral service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park in Half Moon Bay on March 1, 2025, where Jisong will be laid to rest.

1937年11月20日,章先生出生于中国浙江诸暨章村,父母为章贡珍与何招花。幼时接受私塾教育。1948年跳级进入杭州高中,成绩优异,随后保送进入西安电讯工程学院(现西安电子科技大学)深造,1956年毕业后留校从事科研工作两年。之后,他调入昆明通讯部门任车间主任。通过朋友介绍,章先生结识了他太太邹肇军女士。两人携手走过56年风雨,孕育了两个女儿,建立了温馨美满的家庭。
1974年11月,章先生调入北京市西城区录音机厂,后更名为北京市广播技术研究所,任高级工程师。工作期间,他曾应邀前往日本山水集团进行为期20天的专业交流,拓宽了技术和国际视野。1988年,他受河南省水利工程公司借调赴尼泊尔工作五年,为国际合作作出了贡献。1997年,他光荣退休后,应中央电视台月坛电视发射台邀请担任采购总监。自2007年起,章先生频繁往返于中美两国,享受天伦之乐,生活充实愉悦。章纪松热爱与家人共度时光,喜欢烹饪,养花,绘画,并时刻关注时事动态。
章先生待人谦和,赢得了周围人的尊敬与喜爱。他永远被深爱着的妻子肇军,两位女儿月(Michelle)和亮(Judy),女婿嵘(Richard)和展竑(Rick),以及三位深爱他的孙辈David、Jonathan和Michelle所怀念。他留下的关爱、智慧与谦逊,将长存于家人心中。
告别仪式将于2025年3月1日在加州湾区半月湾的百龄园(Skylawn Memorial Park)举行,追思他的平凡而又伟大的一生。
