I met Jeff thru the Dai Ichi Tennis Club – playing many interclubs events and spent time together being on the board also. I liked Jeff, he stood up for what he felt was the right thing to do, and was a very bright man. At all of our pot luck interclub events, I’d always ask him what he made, his answer was always the same, “my wife made it” — the food was always delicious. Always told Jeff he was a very lucky man, even before meeting Vicki. And if it were not for Jeff, I would not have met his wonderful wife, Vicki, who has become a very good friend of mine. Deepest condolences to the Jung family at this time of grief. We never knew Jeffrey directly but only indirectly through his spirit of joy and tennis love that lives in his daughter, Jennifer. Grateful to hear that his pain is no more and he is with our Lord. Blessings, The Baty Family

I was Jeff and Vicki’s estate attorney in 2001-3, and we fortunately stayed in touch over the years. I was able to witness his greatest attributes: he was fair, honest, smart, and willing to go the distance to right a wrong. In the last year, I was lucky enough to have been taught the rules of mah jong by Jeff, who I would describe as a the guru or mah jong rule-master. The ladies in class, and I, will certainly miss Jeff greatly.

I am glad that I have memorable experience with Jeff but sadden that he lost his fight with his illness. JJ and I were doubles partner winning club championship for several years in the early days of South Bay Chinese Tennis club. He was the competitive one so I have to play good tennis each time otherwise he was going to give me girl’s cloth from his store in Oakland.

Jeff was as well liked on the tennis court as anybody. He loved playing and as his team partner, he was great to play with all of the time. I was the tall one, he was the best looking(according to him!) The courts will never be the same with out him. We will miss him greatly….. Jeff Brown
