Jeanne Taylor's Obituary
Nana JeanneTo tell you the truth I had a hard time putting all my Nana's good traits into writing. No matter how hard I try, I can never do justice to what she overcame in her lifetime. I know we are all grieving today for we all lost a great lady, but I know she is now with our Lord. She's with her mother and father again, and done suffering and worrying as she had the past few months. She was a mother, grandmother, a sister and a friend to all of us and what a great sense of humor she had! I'm sure each and every one of you here today has something to share on how my nana touched your life. I know for my father, she was like a super hero. Through the early years his loving mother had stood strong through even the toughest of times for her two sons Don and Larry. Making sure they were taken care of every day and protecting them from harm as any wonderful mother would. My father later took up that role of being the super hero and gave his mother everything he possibly could to ensure her happiness up until the very last minute. I remember sitting down for our last Thanksgiving with her, and I asked everyone at the table what they were thankful for, nana looked to my father and said 'my Donny'. She loved him so much. Dad was, and is, her everything.I can remember one of the last wonderful memories for my family and I was a beautiful Sunday in Half Moon Bay. My parents and I had decided to take Nana Jeanne to Sam's Chowder House, her favorite coastal restaurant. Anyone that is from the Bay Area knows that Half Moon Bay on a typical day is usually cloudy and cold, but this day was different. The wind was warm and sweet, almost tropical. We had shown up a bit early and actually beat the rush. She of course had a Manhattan, her favorite drink, and her favorite dish, fried prawns and enjoyed every last bit of it. I was happy to see her finish the plate, since she had lost her appetite and had not been eating very well. We took a long ride down the coast and through La Honda hills. I always enjoyed our times together, but that day was very memorable for me and I know she was happy to have spent it with us.She was one of the strongest women I’ve ever known, with the kindest heart and the most beautiful embracing blue eyes. We may no longer see her, but we'll always have these special moments we shared with her. Let's just be thankful that we knew a special lady like my nana. I am so proud to be a part of her. Nana Jeanne, you will forever be in my heart and sorely missed. Rest in Peace my lovely Nana Jeanne. Love you,Alicia Jeanne is survived by her son Don his wife Renee and her two grandchildren, Alicia and Jason. She is also remembered by, hersisters, Doris and Marie, her brother Lenny, and their families.
