Janet Gillmore's Obituary
Janet Gillmore 96, passed away peacefully at her home in San Mateo, California on November 16, 2019 surrounded by loving family and truly devoted caregivers.Janet was born December 5, 1922 in Turlock, California and married her sweetheart, Roger, in 1945. They had five children and remained married for 49 years until Roger’s passing in 1990. She spent her later years in the company of a devoted companion, Walter Jessen, who passed away in 2006.Janet was known for her love of sunshine, gardening, healthy family dinners, travel, nature walks and her enjoyment of music – listening playing piano or organ, singing and dancing. She was an excellent seamstress, an avid reader and masterful at word games.Janet was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 60 years. She was also a long-standing participant in several square dancing clubs and an RV Club.Janet is survived by her children: Darlene Kirsch, partner Paul Boyle; Dianne Bollentini; Carol Gillmore, partner Roger Kalemba; Kathleen Feudale, spouse Ross; Ron Gillmore, spouse Alma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Nicole Bollentini, Gabrielle Mackle, Kelley Kirsch, Kristina Eisenhut, Jason Feudale, Breanne Feudale, Justin Kirsch, and Kurt Feudale; and eight great-grandchildren: Katie Eisenhut, Kelsey Mackle, Ian Eisesnhut, Patrick Mackle, Joseph Mackle, Kassa Bridgewater, Aislynn Lauricella and Kinsley Lauricella; as well as nieces: Robin Guy Reape and Heather Guy.Janet also leaves behind a devoted extended family to include her grandson and granddaughter in-laws and devoted caregivers.Janet was predeceased by younger brother, John Guy Jr. and her parents John and Mabel Guy.Services for Janet will be held on November 24th 2019 at 10:30AM at Skylawn Memorial Park, to be officiated by Andrew Dworak and honored by the Threshold Choir. Reception will follow memorial at Skylawn.
