Jane Marie Todd of Portland, Oregon passed away on February 2, 2021. She was a 30-year resident of Portland. Jane was born in San Francisco, California to David and Dorothy Todd, the fifth of six children. She was raised in Millb Read Obituary
Jane and I went to graduate school together at the University of Oregon. We lost touch for many years but later--thanks to Sharon and Grant--reconnected during an annual reunion at the beach. Jane loved walking the beach with Trixie and Laney, talking around the table, baking desserts for all. I especially savored her quiet but wickedly funny observations about the world. She always seemed happy in Cannon Beach. We will miss her so.
I first got to know Jane when my friend Michela found a little black dog in Portland and was looking for a home for her. Jane provided that loving home.
Since I had considered adopting Trixie myself, I visited Jane and we went on walks with Trixie. I have such fond memories of that time- enjoying the walks, nature.. seeing how happy Trixie was and getting to know Jane a little bit.
