It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Theodore Stephanos on June 04, 2023.

August 2, 1933 - June 4, 2023
James Stephanos, longtime resident of Los Altos, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Born in Kerpini, Greece on August 2, 1933, Jim and his wife Diane were married for 52 years before she passed away in 2011.
Jim was an employee and manager of Trailer Hitch, Inc. in Redwood City for over 40 years. Jim had many talents beyond working with iron, one being a talented barbeque chef - a legend at the lamb spit at the yearly Belmont Greek Festival. He was also a skilled handyman, loved to hunt game with his friends, and dance to Greek music.
Jim gave generously of his time, friendship, talents and love. He is survived by his sons, Dino and Ted, daughter-in-law Annie, and his granddaughter, Lilly. He will truly be missed.
His family would like to thank The Courte of Citrus Heights Memory Care for his exceptional care these last two years. The trisagion will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont, at 7pm. A service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10am at Holy Cross, with the burial at 12pm at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 at Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo. A luncheon will follow at Holy Cross immediately following the burial.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jim's name may be made to the church, attn to: Greek Festival, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, California 94002.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skylawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402.
