Jacqueline L. Beck's Obituary
Jackie passed peacefully from this life the morning of January 29, 2016, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family, friends and caregivers during the last days of her life. Jackie was born and raised in San Francisco with her younger brother Larry. During her High School days she belonged to the Gazelle Sorority where she met June Lehr, who became her lifelong best friend. After High School she met the joy of her life Bert Beck. They shared 45 years of joy and happiness before his passing.Jackie is survived by her son Brad, his fiancée Frances and grandchildren Whitney and Andy. She was truly a devoted wife, Mother and Grandma. An avid card player, Jackie especially liked poker and bridge. She also enjoyed bowling, water skiing and a glass of chardonnay. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported us during this time of loss. ~ The Beck FamilyA Mother’s Poem You can shed tears that she’s gone or you can smile because she has livedYou can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back Or you can open your eyes and see all she’s leftYour heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live onYou can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
