Jack Sheng's Obituary
Jack T. Sheng passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. A native of Hunan, China, he graduated from the Chinese Military Academy in Sichuan, China. He also graduated from Soochow University, Taiwan, with a Law degree in 1965, and came to the United States as a Fulbright exchange student graduating from Yale University Law School (LL.M.), Louisiana State University (M.S.L.S.), and Wayne State University (J.D.). He returned to Taiwan to his alma mater as a Law School Professor and the Director of the University Library. He immigrated to the United States in 1972. He served as assistant Chief Librarian and Assistant Professor at Ohio Northern University, and in 1975 was selected to become Head Law Librarian of the Duval County Law Library until his retirement in April 1997. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen S. Sheng, and his children Paul S. Sheng of London, U.K., and Henry S. Sheng of San Mateo, CA. He is remembered as an officer, a professor and librarian, and by his devotion and love of his beloved wife and children.
