Jack B Rush's Obituary
Jack Rush, born May 16, 1929 to Josie and Harry Rush, lived 84 wonderful happy, loving years. He is predeceased by his sister Lue Rush. He is survived by his wife Charmaine Miller and his son Barry Rush. He leaves behind four niece and nephews named Harleene Bebout, Larry Hayes, Joe Rush and Michael Rush.Jack was born in Fairchance Pennsylvania, but made Foster City his place of residence, and graduated from San Mateo High School.Some of Jack’s hobbies are bowling, golf and square dancing. But his real job was working with the City of Hillsborough from June 1st, 1949 to retirement on October 17, 1993. Shortly after his employment, he was promoted to be a Superintendent of Water on February 1st, 1951, and later was promoted again to Director of Public Works in September 1st, 1968. This was quite an accomplishment as he was awarded the Resolution Commending Award from the City of Hillsborough, CA. His achievements are having many bowling Championships, being blessed with his family, and staying employed by the same company for 44 years.Jack met and married the love of his life – Charmaine Miller in December 31, 1950 and cherishes his vows to her. From their marriage they were bless with two wonderful children, Deborah J. Rush and Barry Rush.Jack and Charmaine’s home was always full of friends and family. Jack passed away in Foster City, California on April 8, 2014, surrounded by his wife, his son, his best friends John Nuttman and Paul Webb, and the Rush siblings, Plumer Rush, Gail Rush, Joseph Rush, Alda Rush, Lola Rush, Logan Rush and Sue Rush.Services will be held in his honor at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Larry Hayes will officiate the service, and Pallbearers are Barry Rush, Tom Ball, Larry Hayes, Brad Jacobson, John Nuttman and Paul Webb.
