Imogene Mary Hewitt's Obituary
Imogene Mary (Long) Hewitt was born Oct 29, 1927 in San Francisco and passed away peacefully at home in Roseville on 21 June 2024 surrounded by family. Imogene was proceeded in death by her husband William Hewitt, brother John Long (Mary), son Gary (Gail), stepson Peter, and granddaughters Kristen and Roberta. She is survived by: her four children, Jerry (Roberta), Doug, Rick (Pat), and Sandy; three step children David (Olga), Ken (Mary Jo), and Sheila; grandchildren Sheri (Deland), Lindsay (Dustin), Samantha (Eddie), Brian, Justin (Lucas), Nicole (Dalton), Michael, Angela, Karleigh (Gabe), Ryan (Samantha), Madison (Kris), McKenzie, Kevin, and Brian; great grandchildren Clementine, Maggie, Layne, Charlotte, Arianna (Matt), Daniel, Emily, Fiona, Rowan, Bodhi, Liam, Aiden, Hannah, Francesca, Giancarlo, Jamison, Zachary, and Ashlyn.
Imogene lived a full and active life travelling throughout the world, having worked for both the San Mateo City School District and for the City of Menlo Park. Remembered for her kindness, inclusiveness, dedication to family and friends, and abundance of energy, Imogene’s life will be honored at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Highway 92 at Skyline Blvd in San Mateo. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday 19 August, immediately followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choice.
