Hsieh Wu Wang's Obituary
Hsieh-Wu Wang passed away peacefully on July 22, 2016 at home in San Jose, CA. He was born in An-Hui, China on November 15, 1926. He graduated from Chinese Police Academy and then, joined Chinese police law enforcement during World War II. In 1947, he was transferred to Taiwan, since then he had served as police chief, director of the department of motor vehicles, public bus authority director, etc. He retired from Taipei government service in 1992.He moved to San Jose, CA, to join his children in 1995, and continued to be active in his local community.He was a loving husband and caring father. He was a government officer with utmost integrity. He loved his scholarly pursuits of Chinese calligraphy, Chinese literature, history and writings.He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ping Lu, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and 5 grandsons.The memorial service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo on Thursday, July 22, 2016 at 11:30AM.
