Uncle Homer, the man I looked up to and wished I could do half of what he accomplished. He was the E.F.Hutton guy, a quiet man that when he spoke, you stopped and listened to what he had to say. The guy with all the talent and great looking wife. The one you were always wishing you could be like. I think I have the great looking wife part, now the talent is going to be a problem. I feel lucky to have known him and honored to have him as my Uncle. My Aunt Joyce picked a fine man and my Uncle Homer was a very lucky man to have such a wonderful wife. Aunt Joyce, Deb, & Richard uncle Homer will truly be missed by his family and friends. I wish I could have known him better, but by reading about his life adventures I feel I do now. The things he has done and the places he has been would take many a man a couple of lifetimes to achieve . I believe he his looking down on us and saying I Love You All, and till we meet again. Dear Joyce and family, So sorry to hear of Homer’s passing. I think of you both fondly and often. When I was at the rough patches of life, I would run to stay with you two and upset your life, too. I know that when I would call you, Homer would sigh and roll his eyes! Thanks so much for putting up with me. I learned a lot about Homer by reading his obituary. I did not know that he was an avid flier. He played the piano beautifully. He was also a great friend to many people and valued as a member of the Sunnyvale Sports and Athletic Club.
