Hilda Castaneda's Obituary
Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Hilda Castaneda, quien partió en paz en su hogar el día 23 de mayo de 2025, tras una valiente lucha contra el cáncer de mama. Estuvo rodeada del amor de su familia.
Esposa devota, madre amada y fiel sierva de Dios, Hilda vivió una vida marcada por la compasión, la gracia y una fuerza tranquila. Su mayor alegría fue su familia — amó
profundamente a sus hijos y a su esposo, y su espíritu lleno de ternura creó un hogar colmado de felicidad, calidez y amor.
Hilda encontraba belleza en las bendiciones simples de la vida. Su lugar favorito era su jardín, donde pasaba horas cuidando flores y plantas, conectada con la paz de la naturaleza. Su fe fue el pilar de su vida, y sirvió con alegría como voluntaria en la Iglesia Católica de San Antonio, donde tocó muchas vidas con su bondad y generosidad.
Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Roberto Castaneda; sus queridos hijos, José y Samantha Castaneda; y numerosos familiares y amigos que llevarán su memoria por siempre en el corazón. Su vida fue un ejemplo viviente del amor en acción, y su legado continuará floreciendo en quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
La Misa funeral se celebrará en la Iglesia de San Antonio el día [Fecha y Hora]. Las cenizas de Hilda serán colocadas en un mausoleo en una fecha posterior, la cual se comunicará oportunamente a la familia y seres queridos.
En lugar de flores, la familia pide que se realicen donaciones en su honor a la Breast Cancer Research Foundation o a los ministerios de Saint Anthony Padua Dining Room.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Hilda Castaneda, who departed peacefully at her home on May 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
A devoted wife, beloved mother, and faithful servant of God, Hilda lived a life marked by compassion, grace, and quiet strength. Her greatest joy was her family — she deeply loved her husband and children, and her tender spirit created a home filled with happiness, warmth, and love.
Hilda found beauty in life’s simple blessings. Her favorite place was her garden, where she spent hours tending to flowers and plants, finding peace in nature. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she joyfully served as a volunteer at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, where she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Roberto Castaneda; her dear children, José and Samantha Castaneda; and many family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Her life was a living example of love in action, and her legacy will continue to flourish in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony Church on June 4, 2025. Hilda’s ashes will be placed in a mausoleum at a later date, which will be communicated to family and loved ones in due course.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to the ministries of the Saint Anthony Padua Dining Room.
We commend her to God’s eternal care, comforted in knowing that she now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
