Herminia S. Quimson's Obituary
Herminia Quimson, 94, passed away on February 24, 2018, surrounded by family at her home in Pacifica, California. Born in Bugallon, Pangasinan, Philippines on January 6, 1924, she was the child of Dalmacio and Isabela Soldao. She was the devoted wife of Ildefonso Quimson, who passed away in Pacifica in November 2004 after 72 years of marriage. She was a loving mother to four children, grandmother to five and great-grandmother to seven.Herminia raised her four children in Aguilar, Pangasinan, then moved to the U.S. in 1987 with Ildefonso. She was a loving, strong matriarch with a kind word for everyone. In Aguilar, she took in many extended family members from neighboring barrios so they could attend the town schools. She continued to instill the values of a good education, character, and discipline in her grand- and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to sew and to dance at the senior citizens center with Ildefonso.She is survived by daughter Adoracion Victoriano and husband Ruben, daughter Delma Buenafe and husband Florido, son Dominador Quimson, and daughter Adela Quimson. She leaves her beloved grandchildren: John Victoriano, Joniliza and husband Joel Sesaldo, Kristina and husband Ethan Danahy, Susan Buenafe, and Anthony and wife Kara Buenafe. She also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren: Jarryd Sesaldo, Janzen Sesaldo, Joelle Victoriano, Brandon Victoriano, Theo Buenafe, Caroline Buenafe, and Parker Danahy. She leaves behind many other family who gave her loving kindness throughout her years.
