Herman E. Schultz's Obituary
Herman E. Schultz, 92, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2014 after a brief illness. Herman was born and raised in Milwau- kee, Wisconsin. After his service in WWII, he was employed by Milprint, Inc. where he met and married his wife of 49 years, Rose. Accepting a job transfer, they moved their family to California in 1955 and settled in San Carlos. After leaving Milprint in 1970, he started his own business, Schultz’s Cabinet Shop. Herman was very active in the community doing stage construction for the annual performances of the San Carlos Chicken’s Ball, Kiwanis Show or the Chil- dren’s Theater. Herman was predeceased by his wife, Rose. He is survived by his seven children and their spouses: Judith (Raymond) Burkell, Linda (Mauro) Di Lorenzo, Laura (Michael) van Lienden, Phyllis (Robert) Longbons, Winifred (Lester) Sloan, Virginia (Greg) Wilder, Bruce (Lori) Schultz; by his seven grandchildren: Jeff and Russ Burkell, Lisa and Carla Di Lorenzo, Steven, Lucas and Jameson Wilder; by his three great grand- children and three great, great grandchildren; by his honorary daughter, Ann (Phil) Flotow, his goddaugh- ters, Kris (Michael) Liang, Michelle (Dave) King and Kira, Colin and Franklin, and by his very special friend, Edna Peil.For all whose lives he touched, Herman will be missed and forever remem- bered.A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24 at the Skylawn Memorial Park on Hwy 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
