Henry Navarro's Obituary
Henry Aceves Navarro, 92 of Redwood City, California gained his heavenly wings on January 13, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born to Jose and Refugio Aceves on January 11, 1928, Venice, California. Henry was a retired employee of Safeway and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II in the Pacific Campaign. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Rachel Morales, and a son, Carlos Navarro.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Victoria Navarro, sisters Jessie Chambers and Dora Gomez, four sons, Henry Jr. (Sandra), Joe (Nancy), Manuel (Dani), Arthur (Patty), and two daughters, Genie (Primo), Rachel (Dave). 13 grandchildren, Austin, Haley (Henry Jr.), Joey, Ashley, Alex and Rachael (Joe), Kyle and Chase (Manuel), Ashtyn and Eian (Rachel) Cristian, Joshua and Matteo (Arthur). 7 great grandchildren, Avery, Joey Jr, Grace, Winston, Lucy, Phoebe and Bentley along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the Navarro family requests that donations be made to the Rosener House in Menlo Park, CA, St. Vincent De Paul Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Redwood City, CA, or Alzheimer Association of America.
Rosary will be on Tuesday, January 21st at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 300 Fulton Street, Redwood City, CA 94061.
Burial service, with military honors by the United States Navy, will follow at 1:00 pm at Skylawn Memorial Park, Skyline Blvd at Hwy 92, at San Mateo, CA 94402. Family and friends are also invited to attend a reception that follows.
