Henry "Harry" Arthur Calter's Obituary
Henry “Harry” Arthur Calter was 62 years old when he died on April 15th, 2021 in Hillsborough, California.
Harry was born on March 19th, 1959 in Birmingham, England, to Sarah B. Calter and Stanislaus Calter. He attended schools in the Birmingham area before graduating from Aberystwyth University in Wales. After graduating he worked as an accountant, followed by positions in software development at British Airways, American Airlines, Amadeus, Turkish Airlines and KLM. After leaving the airline industry, Harry joined Visa where he eventually became Vice President in Network Processing. He had numerous achievements throughout his career and was extremely passionate both about his work and the people he worked with. This year would have been his 25th anniversary at Visa.
Harry will be forever beloved and cherished by his wife Bahar Ferda Calter and their daughters: Aileen Calter, 22, and Erin Calter, 18. This year would have marked their 25th wedding anniversary. He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Brian Calter (deceased), Donal Calter, Margret Bradley, and Michael Calter. Harry will forever be remembered by friends and family all over the world.
Harry enjoyed running, travelling, politics, eating good chocolate, trying new foods and joking around with his friends and family. His passing was sudden and shocking. He had an outsized personality, a heart to match and a wonderful sense of humor. Harry will forever be missed. Rest In Peace.
