Henry J. Galindo's Obituary
Henry (Hank) Galindo Passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on June 2,2018. He was born to Ben and Carmen (Espinosa) Galindo on September 2,1931 in San Fernando, CA. He was raised in San Francisco, graduating from Balboa High School in 1951. He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean war. Henry lived in Pacifica for many years before settling in Montara. He worked for Borden’s Dairy Products as a neighborhood milkman in San Francisco as well as Berkeley Farms and Knudsen. He went on to start his own restaurant supply business called “Hank’s Super Foods Co” which earned him the nickname “Super Hank”. He then worked for Air Borne Express until retirement. Hank was a lifelong 49er faithful and SF Giants fanatic, although he enjoyed all sports. He loved horse racing, visiting many famous tracks including Churchill Hill Downs to see the Kentucky Derby. He loved to play tennis, and was responsible for creating the Galindo family and friends annual picnic. Henry is survived by his wife Marie Galindo, Brother Raul Galindo (Sandy), Sister Rebecca Sevilla (late Henry), and Sister Alice Romero (John), Henry’s twin sister Henrietta Laurell (Donald). Henry was preceded in death by his brother Elias Galindo (Jeanne) and infant son Dominic Joseph Galindo. His family called him “PAPA” he was a loving father to son Michael Galindo (Linda Marie), daughters Monte Galindo Ostovar (Darius) and Kathy Galindo Alhady (Geene) Step children Gary Osborne and Leslie Lewis. Henry was a very proud and supportive grandfather to Kevin Ochoa, Ryan Osborne, Angelica Alas, Kassandra Alas, Audrey Osborne, Lindsay Alhady & Jamilee Alhady. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his numerous God children and their families. Hank will be missed by his life long best friend Angelo Pastorino. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to The Special Olympics or The American Heart Association.Services will be held on Monday June 25, 2018 at Saint Peters church at 10:00 am located at 700 Oddstad Blvd, Pacifica. Immediately followed by a celebration of life to be held at the Moose Lodge 776 Bradford Way, Pacifica. Graveside service to be held Tuesday June 26, 2018 at Skylawn Memorial Park located at Hwy 92 & Skyline Blvd, San Mateo at 11:00 am.
