Helen Hom 譚劉佩如Helen Hom, born on July 23, 1939 lived a long and rich life filled with family and friends. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of forty-nine years Joseph, children Alexander with wife Amy, Benjamin with wife Emerald, Clarence with wife Betty, and grandchildren Andrew, Brandon, Parker, Esabella, Jonathan Joseph (JJ), and Elisha.Originally from Hong Kong of seven siblings (Michael, Victor, George, Mildred, Marie, and Patrick), Helen was the first of the siblings to immigrate to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1962. Helen worked in the banking industry for a short period of time before establishing herself as a Real Estate Broker for over 30 years.Helen retired in 2001 and devoted her time to caring for her grandchildren. Her passions were her family and traveling to see the world with her husband.Helen passed away peacefully on August 12, 2014 at the age of 75. She will always be remembered for being family focused and holding true to the saying, “Blood is thicker than water.”
