Harold was born on a farm in Manning, Kansas to George and Leta See. He was the only boy with 3 sisters. He married Phyllis Groshans and they moved to Colorado Springs. He served in the Army in Hawaii during WWII. Harold and Phyllis moved to California so he could pursue a machinist career in the Bay Area. They settled in Woodside and raised 3 children- Wes, Terry, and Dââ?¬â?¢Ann. Harold worked for Hewlett-Packard Labs in Palo Alto for 25 years. He loved to go fishing and hunting with the boys, be a chaperone for Dââ?¬â?¢Annââ?¬â?¢s activities, and search through piles of change at the kitchen table to add to his coin collection. He was a certified antique watch and clock repairman as a hobby, and his passion was to collect many other antiques. Harold married Delma Jo and they spent over 30 years together. They were active retirees who enjoyed RVââ?¬â?¢ing and spending the winters in Mexico or Yuma, Arizona. They square danced many times a week and Harold was a popular and talented line dance teacher. He was a very kind, quiet and gentle man with many friends everywhere he went. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on June 15th after a long, courageous battle with a blood disease. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Wes. He is survived by Delma Jo and Phyllis ; his children Terry and Theresa See of Ft Myers, FL and Dââ?¬â?¢Ann and Carl Darling of Palo Alto, CA; 10 grandchildren- Mike and Debbie See, Jason See, Zachary See, Jennifer Darling, Eric Darling, Nicholas Casey, Bram Sluis , Susannah Holland, Mary and Jody Allatt; and 5 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salvation Army. A private family burial was held on June 26th. A celebration of Haroldââ?¬â?¢s life will be held later.##imported-begin##D’Ann Darling##imported-end##
