Harold Duane Beal's Obituary
On Monday, January 28th Harold Duane Beal, resident of San Mateo, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease and journeyed on into the care of Our Lord.He was surrounded by loved ones and members of his extended family who have been there for him over the years while he struggled with his illness.Harold was born in Rochester, NY, July 5, 1932 to Mary Ann and Howard Beal, and grew up in Pennsylvania, but lived in several places to where his father’s work took his family. He graduated from Grove City College and eventually came out west with Westinghouse. After leaving Westinghouse, Harold joined the Engineering staff at United Airlines and was in their employ until he retired after 38 years of service.He is survived by his devoted wife, June, sister Barbara Miller (Morris), daughter Deborah Gasko (Robert), son Kevin Beal (Michelle), grandsons Charles Targett, Chase Gasko, Gage Beal, and granddaughter Gina Gasko, and several nieces and nephews in California, Tennessee, Florida, Washington, and Colorado. Harold was preceded in death by his younger brother, Fred Beal.Harold was lovingly known as “Uncle Moki” to a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests, and would appreciate, a donation to the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center, using the following link (http://www.thepi.org/giving-to-the-institute/); or, a donation to a charity of choice.
