Guang Fu Zhu's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father Guang Fu Zhu on February 1, 2024. He was 84 years old. During his final days, he was surrounded by his family and his brother’s family. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his wife Rui Juan Ma, three children (Chao Yue, Harry and David), daughter in-laws (Jian and Leanna), six grandchildren (Jeffrey, Norman, Emily, Kelly, Raymond and Serena), and his younger brother Guang Chan and his family. He was born in 1939 in Taishan, Guangdong, China. He was a high-school physical education teacher for over 28 years in China. After immigrating to the US in 1986, he worked in the restaurants in Oakland Chinatown until his retirement. He was a strong advocate of higher education. He was married to Rui Juan Ma for 66 years. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skylawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402.
