Gregoria Mayo Tadina's Obituary
Gregoria Tadina, aged 85 years old, died at Kaiser Riverside Hospital on November 14, 2016 at 5:30pm.She was born on March 12, 1931 in Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines, to Lazaro Mayo and Segunda Almirol. She was the youngest of 11 children. Gregoria attended the University of the Philippines in Manila. On March 15, 1960, she was married to Pedro Tadina.Gregoria worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield in San Francisco, and later as an aide at a childcare facility. She lived in San Francisco with her husband and children, and was a homemaker for most of her life. She and her husband also lived in Benicia, CA, close to their youngest daughter, before moving south to Temecula in 2004. They eventually moved into Fountain Glen, a senior apartment complex, and close to their eldest daughter in Murrieta. At Fountain Glen, they made many dear friends and enjoyed memorable activities. Gregoria will be remembered for her kindness, and her fondness for watching WWF and RAW wrestling on television.She is survived by her husband Pedro; daughter Olivia Acosta and her husband Jose, daughter Olga Soo Hoo and her husband Timothy; her grandchildren – Daniel and Alexxe Acosta, Nicholas and Dylan Soo Hoo; nieces Gerarda Clare and Mila Garces, and nephew Dione Mayo; grand niece Nancy Munar and her husband Albert, grand nephew Derick Turqueza and his wife Mafette; great grand niece Nicole Munar, great grand nephews Andrew Munar, and Dominic, Marco, and Erick Turqueza.The funeral mass will be held on November 26, 2016, at 11:00am at St. Bartholomew in San Mateo. The pallbearers are Jose and Daniel Acosta, Timothy and Nicholas Soo Hoo, Albert and Andrew Munar, Derick Turqueza and Octavius Lazo. The viewing will be held on Friday, November 25th, from 1-5pm at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park at Route 35 at Highway 92 in San Mateo, CA 94402.
