Gertrude W. Salazar's Obituary
Gertrude (Trudy) Salazar, 16 days shy of her 89th Birthday, died peacefully in her home in Fremont, CA. She was born November 19th 1925 in Port Angeles, WA to Guy and Angielynne Bailey. She was married on October 3rd, 1945 to Richard Salazar.Trudy and Richard were married for 49 years until Richard’s passing in 1992. They lived most of their married lives in San Francisco, CA raising their four children. They were the rock of both the Salazar and Bailey Families providing love, support and guidance to all who were in need. Trudy is survived by her brother Charles (Jack) Bailey, Sisters-in-law Clorinda (Cora) Leon, Rebecca Salazar; her children, Richard Salazar, Trudy Morales (Mario), Daniel Salazar and Robert Salazar (Joanne). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Angelyn Kiester, Brandy Morales, Mario Morales, Gabriel Salazar, Crissy Holcomb, Robyn Salazar and eleven great-grandchildren who were Her darlings, Alexandria Castro, Anthony Morales, Marina Morales, Antonia Poyadue, Braxton Kiester, Logan Kiester, Emily Halcomb, Amilio Morales, Mateo Morales, Dominic Halcomb, Annabella Salazar and numerous nieces and nephews.She is beloved by her family and all that knew her. Trudy’s legacy of Courage, Adventure, Wisdom and Kindness, will live on in all of our hearts. Our wonderful memories are a testament to a beautiful, well-lived life.A funeral service will be held on Sunday November 9th at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA beginning at 10:00am.The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff of J&M Professionals who provided loving care and Angels Hospice who provided Trudy and her family support during her last days. Rest in Peace dearest Mom as we lay you next to your beloved Richard.
