George Raymond Craig's Obituary
George Raymond Craig, of Foster City, CA, passed away on July 26, 2021 at the age of 80.
George was born on August 24, 1940 in San Francisco, CA, the son of James and Martha Craig. Growing up in a military family, George moved to multiple places around the country, and even spent time in Germany.
George attended the University of Washington, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He later earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Management at the China Lake extension of USC.
George served time in the US Army doing clerical work in a medical clinic during the Vietnam War. He married Vivienne in 1970 and they were married until her death in 2006. George and Vivienne moved to Foster City, CA in 1972, where they raised 3 children, and George resided there until his death.
George had a long career as a manager in the telecommunications division of the IRS. His passions were collecting stamps, genealogy, collecting photos of his family, history and politics. He loved going on trips and cruises with his grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Vivienne Craig, and his parents, James and Martha Craig. He is survived by his three children, Timothy, Susan and Daniel Craig, and his five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jonah, Alexa, Colleen, Aidan. He is also survived by his three brothers, James, Robert and Edward Craig.
