George K Chan's Obituary
George K Chan passed away peacefully on 5/3/22 after a year and a half battle with cancer.
Born in Seattle and raised throughout the Bay Area, George married Mae Wong in 1962 and together they raised three children – Alan (Aileen), Stephen (Christine) and Karen (Felix) - in San Francisco.
George is also survived by his 8 grandchildren - Kyle, Megan, Tyler, Connor, Zachary, Will, Trenton and Jon.
Hard-working and self-motivated, George started his own business in 1964 as a State Farm Agent and became a fixture in his community impacting many lives.
George enjoyed good conversation, trips to new places, and watching his favorite sports teams, especially the Giants, 49ers and Warriors.
George loved puzzles (both crosswords and jigsaw) and appreciated the undertaking of a new challenge and the satisfaction of its completion.
George lived a good life.
A private ceremony has been arranged at Skylawn Cemetery off of Highway 92 in San Mateo.
