Frida Castellano, born on March 9, 1930, in Arequipa, Peru, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Her life was a testament to faith, resilience, and dedication to her family, church, and community. Frida faced her final battle with colon cancer with remarkable strength and grace. Her passing on a Sunday was a poignant reminder of her deep-rooted faith and commitment to her beliefs.
Frida will be remembered for her unwavering Catholic faith, her dedication to her family, and her vibrant community spirit. She leaves behind her daughter, Jessica Castellano, and her granddaughters, Sofia and Camilla, along with countless friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
A Mass in her honor will be held in July in San Mateo, California, where she called home for over 40 years with her husband, Romildo Castellano. Following the Mass, Frida will be laid to rest alongside Romildo at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. The service will celebrate her life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. Frida's legacy of love, faith, and community service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her
