Frank Hamilton's Obituary
Frank A. Hamilton of San Mateo passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. He was a kind, thoughtful man, a devoted family member, and a hardworking provider whose quiet strength and generous heart touched many lives.
Frank proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, serving his country with courage and honor. Following his military service, he dedicated 45 years to the telephone company as an installer, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job.
Outside of work, Frank found joy in gardening and was especially proud of the amazing tomatoes he grew each year. He loved spending time with his family and created a lifetime of memories through his steady love, humor, and dependable presence.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Erma Hamilton, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his three sons, Donald Hamilton, 77, Michael Hamilton(Kristie)71, and Mark Hamilton (Terri), 68; his eight grandchildren: Kyle Hamilton, Jennifer Hamilton, Sean Hamilton, Brooke Church (Scott), Kelly Peacock, Chad Hamilton (Michelle), Meg Hamilton, and Emma Hamilton; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Frank’s life will be held on June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park in Half Moon Bay.
Frank was a truly wonderful man whose kindness, dedication, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
