Francine Elizabeth Lea's Obituary
Francine Elizabeth Lea passed away peacefully on September 1st, 2018 in San Mateo, California, at 79 years old.Francine (Frankie) Lea was born on February 10th, 1939, to her father William and mother Edna. Frankie grew up in San Mateo and attended Our Lady of Angels and Mercy High School, both in Burlingame. She earned a nursing degree, and worked as both an emergency and cardiovascular nurse. She was married to William Lea at Our Lady of Angels in Burlingame, California.Francine was deeply loved by many. Her selfless, genuine and caring nature set her apart in the workplace and in the world. She touched those around her with a gentle, kindhearted, and generous spirit. Francine often donated to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital following her successful battle against Lymphoma. She was passionate about tennis and was an incredibly talented concert pianist.Francine is survived by her three children, Bill, John and Liz, grandchildren Krista, Johnny, Billy, Melissa, Samantha, and Kyle, in-laws Stacie, Jennifer and Kevin, and cousin Connie. Francine will reunite with many loved ones in heaven, such as her mom and dad, Edna and William Brennan, sister Beverly, brother Jim, and Aunt Dahl.A small gathering will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital through their website.
