Florence Barbara Serrott (Marini) Family and friends are saddened by the loss of Florence Barbara Serrott on April 22, 2011 in Auburn, California. Florence was born in New York City on September 14, 1919 to Daniel and Julia Marini. As a young adult, she and her family moved to San Francisco where she graduated from Polytechnic High School. She continued her education at San Francisco Business College. She then married her husband Marion Serrott (John or Papa to those who knew him). They were married for 66 years and lived in San Mateo and Belmont for a number of years. Upon John's retirement, they moved to Monterey. Florence loved shopping, traveling, boating, golf and bridge. They moved to Auburn eight years ago to be near their loving family. Florence is survived by her brother Michael and his wife Angela Marini, her two daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara and Tom Sawyer and Sandra and Randolf Raley; her grandchildren; John and Pamela Sawyer, Mark Sawyer, Bryan and Dayna Turcotte, Stacey Turcotte and Mike Mendez, Deborah and Mike Lombard and six great-grandchildren; Daniel and Jack Sawyer, Jake and Samuel Lombard, Ford and Ralston Turcotte. Funeral service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11 o'clock am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to : Sutter Auburn Faith Foundation Hospice 11815 Education Street Auburn, CA 95602 Or the charity of their choice.
